Recently a  member contacted WSIADA because he had difficulty securing insurance coverage on his inventory.  We reached out to Todd Shepard of Shepard & Shepard Insurance as to why this may occur. 

Gov. Jay Inslee today released an additional guidance document following last week's announcement of guidance updates in Washington's Safe Start phased reopening plan following the extension of the proclamation. 

Several of the WSIADA document forms that dealers purchase have been updated since early 2020, most have been format size changes. This change was based off feedback from various sources over the past few years.

WSIADA Dealers:  We finally have some Covid -19 rules we can live with until we can move to the next phase. 

WSIADA received notification concerning dealer questions toward reopening of VIN Inspections lanes.

Even though Gov. Inslee’s state reopening phase one suggests car dealers will reopen on May 5, the industry will be forced to remain in park until a comprehensive list of safety measures is approved by the State Department of Labor and Industries and signed by the governor.

On Friday, May 1, 2020, Governor Jay Inslee announced the extension of the Stay Home Order. The order's original expiration was May 4, 2020 but has been extended to June 1, 2020.

Many of you may have seen that the Federal Government has adjusted guidance and now includes car dealers as essential business. 

The Governors of Washington, Oregon and California today announced that they have agreed on a shared vision for reopening businesses during the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Residents in those states currently are under “stay home stay healthy” orders.

Labor & Industries has issued a detailed, nine-page directive to help essential companies understand how to conduct business during Gov. Jay Inslee’s Stay Home Stay Healthy order. 

On April, 2, 2020, Governor Inslee held a press conference in Olympia to announce the extension of the Stay Safe Stay Home until May 4th.

This interpretive guidance concerning Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-25: “Stay Home, Stay Healthy,” will be periodically updated.
