Am I wasting my membership if I don’t get my dealership open right away?

You have the option of calling to request a “Cooling off” period which will allow you to freeze your membership until your dealership is open.

Are there more than one option to doing Continuing Education?

There are several options for getting your Continuing Education that are listed on the Education webpage here on our site.

Can I do New Dealer Education online?

No, New Dealer Education is a live, in person, class required by the State of Washington

Do I really need commercial property or can I use my home as an office?

Yes and no

Do we have to pay to attend Chapter Meetings?

No, you may attend a Chapter meeting for free however if you wish for the education credits to count for your Continuing Education, you will need to pay a fee.

Do you have New Dealer Education classes in other parts of the state?

Currently, we only hold the classes monthly in Auburn or every other month in Spokane.

Do you take Cash?

We are not set up for cash transactions. We only accept Debit/Credit Cards or Checks.

How can I get a Wholesale Dealer license in Washington?

There is no Wholesale License available as of 2019 for new dealers.

How long is the membership good for?

Membership is always one calendar year (example January 2019 to January 2020)

How long is the New Dealer Education good for?

The certificate you receive at the end of class will be good for one year however we recommend you update the certificate before it expires if you have not opened your business at that time.

How many Chapters are there?

There are currently seven active chapters in W.S.I.A.D.A.: Vancouver, Tri-Cities, Yakima, Spokane, South Sound, North Sound and North Cascade Chapters. Eventually we would like to reactivate Peninsula Chapter when there is sufficient interest in the region again.

How many hours a year do we have to complete for Continuing Education?

Five hours is required by the State of Washington for your dealership renewal under RCW 46.70.079 Section 1b.

I can’t find our login and password for the store. How can I find it?

Find the ‘My Account’ feature on the page and you will find how to recover or reset your access.

I have a membership but another dealer wants to use my discounts. Is that allowed?

A purchased membership is only good for the registered dealer number, if another uses it and they aren’t a part of your dealership, you could have your membership revoked.

I purchased the wrong product, how can I return it?

You can return the product if it is unopened for in store credit.

If I do New Dealer Education class does that automatically make me a dealer?

No, you have to complete the dealer’s checklist, in addition the New Dealer Education class, to be issued your dealer identification and plate numbers.

If I have more than five hours, can they carry over to the next year?

No, once your five hours is reported to the state whatever remaining is ineligible for following year.

Is education free with membership?

We include education with the membership but you must attend at least one chapter meeting for this option.

Is there free shipping for a certain size purchase?

Unfortunately, not at this time

What if there isn’t a Chapter in my area?

If there is considerable interest in an area that doesn’t have an active Chapter, we will see about activation of a new chapter.

What information is brought to Chapter Meetings?

Current changes in laws that affect dealers, news from the Board of Directors, plus more to help dealers be more successful.

What payment options are there for membership?

There is the annual and the monthly payment options available.

When are Chapter meetings?

Each Chapter has two meetings a year, Spring and Fall.

When I place an order, how long will it take to get to my location?

All shipments are via FedEx Ground generally arrive the next business day unless ordered over a weekend.

Why do I need New Dealer Education for a dealer license?

New Dealer Education is a requirement by the State of Washington to teach prospective dealers the laws, forms and requirements for creating a successful dealership as required by RCW 46.70.079 Section 1a.

You’re more expensive than the other education group, why should I pay more for your Continuing Education?

Quality of service. We speak with Department of Licensing and other state agencies on a daily basis to ensure our education meets and exceeds the compliance requirements for dealers.
